DEFINITION OF "VISITABILITY"

"Visibility" is a term for a movement focusing on laws and policies to change home construction so that virtually all new homes, not just those custom-built for those who currently have disabilities, have specific features to make them easier for mobility-impaired people to visit.

Several municipalities have enacted ordinances to enforce requirements for new homes to have at least one zero-step entry approached by an accessible path on a firm surface no steeper than 1:12, wide passage doors, and at least a half bath/powder room large enough to be wheelchair accessible on the main floor.

WHICH NEST HOME PLANS INCORPORATE "VISITABILITY"?

All plans in our LONGEVITY COLLECTION include our STANDARD LONGEVITY FEATURES and meet the above definition of "visitability." Some plans also include ADDITIONAL LONGEVITY FEATURES that extend beyond "visitability."

A detailed list of features included in each plan is provided in the product description.
